These counting grids are engraved into 2 ground and polished surfaces on the central ridge (=chamber bottom). This central ridge is located between 2 elevated also ground and polished ridges. A cover glass with a thickness of 0.4 mm is placed on top of these 2 outer ridges. This cover glass limits the examined volumes above the counting grids.
